Consumption monitoring tools
Elektronova produces an Internet-linked monitoring device—the Elektroplug—that will transmit user data to Elektronova servers. That data is accessible to the consumer in the form of online reports – including suggestions on how to reduce costs through retrofit, appliance replacement, and more. The sale of these devices is the only cost to the consumer to access data on the site. Once a household has purchased a pre-packaged starter kit of six devices, they are able to view reports on Elektronova.com for all appliances that are measured using the devices. Elektroplugs will be manufactured and sold as inexpensively as possible. Possible alliances with power-related accessories manufacturers will be explored.

The Elektronova website generates reports from our energy monitoring tools, offers energy calculators to estimate usage for those who haven’t yet purchased an Elektroplug, and includes content such as energy-saving tips and appliance efficiency reviews. The site creates and encourages community-based content around energy efficiency topics, real-world appliance reviews, and more.

Public utility district and manufacturer alliances
Elektronova uses the data gathered about real-world energy consumption to form alliances with public utility districts, partnerships with appliance manufacturers, and to further increase awareness around energy efficiency.
